The following fund was setup to allow individuals or corporations to give specifically to the Geotechnical Engineering Program in the Department of Civil, Architectural and Environmental Engineering. For more information about each fund, please see the descriptions below.
Descriptions : This fund was created and is used to support the mission of the Student Chapter here at UT Austin. Since its inception, our student chapter has focused on broadening the minds of our geotechnical students, establishing strong connections with the students and members of the industry, and fostering a close-knit community among the students through various social events and group activities. This fund supports all Geo-Institute activities aimed solely to benefit our student members' lives.
Donor Criteria : To provide support for the Geo-Institute Student Chapter to enhance the members' experience as a graduate student. The types of support may include but are not limited to, educational and industry weekly seminars, social events (Biannual Geotechnical Trivia, GI Tailgates, Graduation Parties, etc.), travel expenses for current student members to local conferences or lectures, and other expenditures for the direct benefit of graduate students members of GI. The UT Austin Geo-Institute Student Chapter officers shall decide the expenditure of funds.
